We are excited to announce that VIPER will launch its new first-year VIPER Program Community at Hill College House in the fall of 2024! Starting with the Class of 2028, VIPER students will now live together during their first year, giving them the unique opportunity to integrate into a community of motivated individuals with diverse interests but a common desire to build a sustainable energy future. We envision that this new initiative will strengthen bonds within the VIPER community, laying the foundation for lasting friendships and collaborations that extend beyond the classroom.
Hill College House, with its modern amenities and vibrant atmosphere, features a central atrium that overlooks the dining café. From lounges for collaborative study sessions to communal spaces for social gatherings, there are plenty of spaces for VIPER students to come together to get to know each other, exchange ideas, and learn and grow together.
One of the key advantages of this new community is that students will also be located near many of their STEM classes as well as the new cutting-edge Vagelos Laboratory for Energy Science and Technology (VIPER’s future home) which is also set to open its doors in the fall of 2024. The launch of these new centralized spaces for VIPER students will be transformative for the program, opening up new opportunities for academic and social programming, as we strive to create an unparalleled educational experience for VIPER students.
The VIPER Program Community is not just about where VIPER students live; it's about creating an ecosystem that nurtures academic excellence, fosters innovation, and cultivates a sense of belonging.
This year marks the start of an exciting new chapter for the VIPER program. The VIPER community is about to become stronger, more connected, and more vibrant than ever before!
